Who is Trumbo? Find out who Dalton Trumbo is in this featurette shot in part by EPK Louisiana. See Bryan Cranston as “Trumbo” this Thanksgiving in theaters everywhere.

The Motion Picture Association of America contracted with EPK Louisiana to produce this piece highlighting the hardworking crew of the CBS Television series, “NCIS: New Orleans.” A grand gesture on the part of MPAA to help us save our Louisiana Film Tax Incentives. Solidarity MPAA!

On August 16, 2013, “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” opened as the Number One grossing motion picture in North America. Be prepared, there will also be Oscar nominations and more critical and popular accolades. This featurette by The Weinstein Company shows the fruits of some of our behind the scenes efforts. We are very proud and honored to have been a part of this epic motion picture.

Of the several noteworthy films we worked on in 2012, we were most excited to see “Lee Daniels’ The Butler.” David Akin was a one man behind the scenes documentarian on this one and interviewed all of the stellar cast and crew. Jane Fonda, who plays Nancy Reagan, was gracious, lovely and an epic interview.

The B-roll was all Grade A footage working with two cinema icons, Stallone and DeNiro, on the rough and tumble Warner Bros. film “Grudge Match”. Another gem that EPK Louisiana is proud to have been a part of. Director Pete Segal even cast Dave Akin and our field producer in a small part as what else…a cameraman and field producer. A total blast and a memory for a lifetime.

This is the first DVD/BLU-RAY Special Feature EPK Louisiana shot and produced for Dimension Extreme, the genre and horror division of The Weinstein Company. “Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds” is the sequel to Project Greenlight Season Three winner and cinematic autuer John Gulager’s cult classic “Feast.” These films and the special features are unrated…so you have been forewarned. 😉

“Meet The Gulagers” is the companion featurette for “Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds” that EPK Louisiana produced for Dimension Extreme. Get to know the cinematic boundary pushing Gulager filmmaking family in all their ever loving genre busting glory. Unrated, watch at your own risk!

In 2012, Moonbot Studios in Shreveport, LA, earned an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film with “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore,” beating out such industry heavyweights as Pixar and DreamWorks. Nearly two years before, we shot and produced this behind the scenes piece for North Louisiana Economic Development as a video postcard to stimulate the Louisiana economy. It’s an interesting fun look behind the curtain into the magic that Moonbot Studios continues to make. All music and soundtrack included are the fruits of talented Louisiana musicians and songwriters.

Noted film critic turned director Rod Lurie put his spin on “Straw Dogs” which was originally a classic cult film directed by the legendary wild man Sam Peckinpah and starring Dustin Hoffman and Susan George in the 70’s. Rod Lurie based this version more on the source material, the novel “The Siege of Trencher’s Farm” and set his story in the contemporary American South.
